Besides putting your eye drops into the refrigerator to help ease any burning, you can use artificial tears throughout the day as well. Since most of your post op cataract drops will likely have preservatives in them, you should get preservative free artificial tears instead of ones that have preservatives in them. Make sure to wait at least five minutes between putting your eye drops in and between putting the preservative free artificial tears in your eyes.
