Feels Like Something Under Eyelid After Cataract Surgery

It feels like something is under my eyelid since I had cataract surgery a few weeks ago, is this normal post op cataract healing?

Why do I have the feeling that something is in my eye after cataract surgery?

Dry eye can be made worse after cataract removal and you may need to increase the use of artificial tears after your procedure.

The incision that your eye doctor made for the cataract removal may be located under your eyelid and until that incision heals you may still feel like a grain of sand is stuck under your eyelid. Again, using lubricating drops will be helpful to control your symptoms until the eye is fully healed.

Rarely your cataract surgeon may have to put a stitch in your eye after surgery, so make sure to ask your doctor if this was done during your procedure.
