Does zymaxid leave a bad taste in your mouth after you put the eye drops
in?
Is this normal to have a weird taste right after using zymaxid 0.5 eyedrops (gatifloxacin)? Yes, these drops do
sometimes have a side effect of a metallic taste after you put them in your eyes.
The reason for this is that the eyedrops have a tendency to go down into your nose and the back of
your throat after putting them in your eye.
One way to avoid this side effect of zymaxid taste is to hold pressure in the corner of your
eye immediately after using the drops and to keep your eyes closed for at least 30 seconds
afterwards. This will help prevent the drops from going down the
back of your throat and you shouldn't experience the bad taste anymore.
