In some instances a film can develop behind the intraocular lens implant and this can cause cloudy vision. This
is called an "after cataract" or "secondary cataract"
and it can develop months or even years
after your surgery. This particular cause of blurred vision after cataract surgery occurs in about 20% of cases. It
can easily be treated with a laser in your doctor's office, is painless, and only takes about a minute to
perform.
Finally, remember to be patient to let the eye heal and take your postoperative eye drops exactly as instructed.
That is very important in allowing your eye to heal properly after the surgery.
