Most cataract surgeons wait two to four weeks to check you for a new eyelass prescription, depending on how
well your eye appears to be healing from the cataract operation.
If your eyes were corrected for distance vision, you may only need to wear some over the
counter reading glasses. These magnifiers or "cheaters" can be worn as soon as the next day after your surgery if
you want to read the newspaper or see anything up close.
