Ask your doctor if it is okay for you to use lubricating drops, also known as artificial tears, during your post op cataract period.

Doing this will help your eyes feel much more comfortable and also allow your eye to heal faster from cataract surgery. Be sure to only use lubricating drops that say "artificial tears" or "for dry eye" on the bottle.

If you take drops for getting the red out like visine or murine, the preservatives in those drops may actually irritate your eyes instead of making them feel better.
