Another factor that can cause blurry vision after cataract surgery is swelling in the macula, which is in the
back of your eye and is the part of your retina that is responsible for detailed vision.
Swelling in the macular portion of the retina can develop about a month or so after your
cataract surgery and can be treated with eye drops. If you have diabetes you may be more vulnerable to developing
this complication after eye surgery.
