Other common drops after cataract surgery are antibiotic eye drops and steroid drops. Again, both of these contain preservatives which can be irritating to the surface of your eyes and can thus also cause stinging, pain, and burning. However, these drops are usually less likely to cause those symptoms compared to NSAID drops like Acular.
